In particular, integration between advanced chemical sensors with physical imaging technologies can benefit agricultural robotic systems in a significant way. Fruit detection using hyperspectral imaging Early fruit detection enables yield and profit prediction for growers. The overall goal was to predict fruit yields by detecting the fruits of all growth stages using various techniques such as spectroscopy, machine vision, and hyperspectral imaging. The following is an example of blueberry fruit detection using hyperspectral imaging, band selection and spectral-spatial analysis techniques.
